Access Editor

The Access Editor gives you a unified interface to view and modify permissions across profiles and permission sets — without navigating through Salesforce Setup's scattered permission screens.

Features

Unified Permission View

See all permissions for a profile or permission set in a single, scrollable table:

  • Object-level CRUD permissions
  • Field-level read/write access
  • Tab visibility settings
  • App permissions
  • System permissions

Inline Editing

Click any cell to toggle a permission on or off. Changes are tracked in a staging area — nothing is deployed until you review and confirm.

Bulk Operations

  • Toggle all CRUD for an object in one click
  • Apply a permission pattern across multiple objects
  • Copy permissions from one object to another
  • Filter by object name or category (standard/custom)

Search & Filter

Find the permission you're looking for instantly:

  • Filter by object name
  • Filter by permission type
  • Show only differences from default
  • Show only custom objects

Permission Comparison

Side-by-side comparison of two profiles or permission sets. Highlights differences in yellow.

Workflow

  • Select a profile or permission set from the dropdown
  • Browse or search for the object/field you want to edit
  • Toggle permissions inline — changes appear in the staging panel
  • Review all staged changes
  • Click Apply to hand off to Apply Changes, or save directly
  • Note: Some system permissions require Salesforce Admin credentials to modify.
