The Permission Builder is the flagship feature of SFDC Police. It replaces the tedious Setup menu workflow with a visual, intuitive interface.

Visual Permission Set Creation

Create new permission sets with a drag-and-drop interface. See all available permissions organized by category and add them with a single click.

Side-by-Side Comparison

Select any two permission sets and see their differences highlighted in a color-coded diff view. This makes it easy to:

• Identify gaps between similar permission sets
• Audit changes before deployment
• Understand what access a user gains from each assignment

Bulk Assignment

Assign permission sets to multiple users at once. The bulk assignment tool includes:

• User search and filtering
• Preview of effective permissions
• Transaction log for rollback capability

Permission Set Groups

View and manage permission set groups with a visual representation of which permission sets are included in each group.

Best Practices

Start minimal — Create permission sets with the least access needed

Use consistent naming — Follow a naming convention like PS_[Team]_[Access]

Review quarterly — Use the comparison tool to audit drift between environments

Test in sandbox — Always test permission changes in a sandbox before production
