Installation

Requirements

  • Google Chrome version 100 or later (also works on Edge, Brave, and other Chromium browsers)
  • A Salesforce org (any edition — Production, Sandbox, Developer, or Scratch)

Install from Chrome Web Store

  • Open the Chrome Web Store
  • Search for SFDC Police
  • Click Add to Chrome
  • Confirm the installation

    • The extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar.

    First Launch

  • Navigate to any Salesforce page (e.g., https://yourorg.lightning.force.com)
  • The extension automatically detects your org
  • Click the extension icon to open the popup
  • Select any tool to get started

    • Permissions

    The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

    • Active tab — To detect which Salesforce org you're viewing
    • Storage — To cache metadata locally for performance
    • Cookies — To use your existing Salesforce session (no separate login needed)

    Troubleshooting

    Extension not detecting my org

    Make sure you're on a Salesforce page (the URL should contain .salesforce.com or .force.com). Try refreshing the page.

    Session expired error

    Log out and log back into Salesforce, then refresh the page. The extension will pick up your new session automatically.
